Forest Guard Vacancy Details :
1. FORESTER-I
No. of Vacancies: 144 Nos. (UR-46, OBC/ MOBC-23, SC-07, ST (P)-29, ST (H)-25, EWS-14)
Educational Qualification: Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline from a recognized University or any equivalent Examination.
Age Limit: Minimum 21 years and maximum 38 years
2. STENOGRAPHER (GRADE-III)
No. of Vacancies: 11 Nos. (UR-03, OBC/ MOBC-05, SC-02, EWS-01)
Educational Qualification: Graduate in any stream from a recognized College/ Institutions affiliated to a recognized University with having National Trade Certificate in Stenography from ITI in Assam or any other recognized Institute with 80 WPM in English Stenography.
Age Limit: Minimum 21 years and maximum 38 years
3. FOREST GUARD
No. of Vacancies: 812 Nos. (UR-397, OBC/ MOBC-104, SC-42, ST (P)-101, ST (H)-87, EWS-81)
Educational Qualification: Higher Secondary (10+2) or equivalent examination passed from a recognized Board/ Council.
Age Limit: Minimum 18 years and maximum 38 years as on 01-01-2020.
4. SURVEYOR
No. of Vacancies: 35 Nos. (UR-16, OBC/ MOBC-10, SC-03, ST (P)-01, ST (H)-02, EWS-03)
Educational Qualification: HSLC or equivalent examination passed and must have certificate in Draftsmanship from a recognized Institute.
Age Limit: Minimum 18 years and maximum 38 years as on 01-01-2020.
5. MAHUT
No. of Vacancies: 28 Nos. (UR-18, SC-03, ST (H)-04, EWS-03)
Educational Qualification: Class VIII or equivalent.
Experience: Must have minimum 03 years experience in elephant upkeeping.
Age Limit: Minimum 18 years and maximum 38 years as on 01-01-2020.
6. CARPENTER
No. of Vacancies: 01 Nos. (UR)
Educational Qualification: HSLC or equivalent examination passed and must have trade certificate from recognized Institution.
Age Limit: Minimum 18 years and maximum 38 years as on 01-01-2020.
7. DRIVER
No. of Vacancies: 50 Nos. (UR-15, OBC/ MOBC-15, SC-03, ST (P)-04, ST (H)-08, EWS-05)
Educational Qualification: HSLC or equivalent examination passed and must have valid four wheeler driving license issued by the any Competent Authority of Assam.
Age Limit: Minimum 18 years and maximum 38 years as on 01-01-2020.
Upper Age Relaxation: Upper age limit is relaxable by 05 years for SC/ ST and 03 years for OBC/ MOBC category.
The vacancies are under Forest Department, Assam. Both Male and Female candidates are eligible to apply.
Note:- For the candidates, who had applied for the posts of Forest Guard or Carpenter or both as per earlier advertisement made vide Janasanyog /7617/16, dated 22-12-2016 and do not intend to apply for other posts as per the present advertisement, the terms and conditions for eligibility will be governed as per the earlier advertisement dated 22-12-2016 made at that point of time. Such candidates need not apply afresh. However, candidates, who had applied against the said earlier advertisement for the posts of Forest Guard or Carpenter or both, but opt to apply for other posts also as per the present advertisement, shall be governed by the terms and conditions for eligibility for the new posts as laid down in the present advertisement. For such candidates the receipt of application will open w.e.f. 01-06-2020.
Physical Standards (For Forester-I and Forest Guard only):
A. For Forester-I:-(i) Male Candidates: Height — 162.56 cm (153 cm for ST candidates); Chest (unexpanded) — 79 cm; Chest (expanded) — 84 cm; Weight — Proportionate to height and age, as per medical standard.
(ii) Female Candidates: Height — 150 cm (145 cm for ST candidates)
B. For Forest Guard:-
(i) Male Candidates: Height — 163 cm (153 cm for ST candidates); Chest (unexpanded) — 79 cm; Chest (expanded) — 84 cm; Weight — Proportionate to height and age, as per medical standard.
(ii) Female Candidates: Height — 150 cm (145 cm for ST candidates)
Candidates must not have knock knee, flat foot, varicose vein or squint in eyes and should possess high colour vision. They must be in good mental and bodily health and free from any physical defect likely to interfere with the efficient performance of the duties.
Candidates’ Selection: Selection of candidates will be through First Phase Test and Second Phase Test comprising of Physical Standard Test (PST), Physical Fitness Test, Written Test and Practical Test/ Skill Test wherever applicable and Extra-curricular Activities.
