Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana 2025 (PMUY)—Online Application, Eligibility, and Benefits

Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana 2025: The Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas created the Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana (PMUY) with the intention of connecting BPL households to LPG. Under the program, you can get Rs. 1600 for each connection, an interest-free loan to buy a gas stove, and a cylinder refill. The LPG connection’s administrative costs will be covered by the government.

In order to provide rural and underprivileged households that were previously using traditional cooking fuels like firewood, coal, cow dung cakes, etc., with access to clean cooking fuel like LPG, the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas (MOPNG) launched the Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana 2025 in May 2016. Both the ecology and the health of rural women suffered from the use of traditional cooking fuels.

Benefits of Ujjwala Yojana

The PMUY plan is available to women who are part of BPL families who do not have an LPG connection in their home. She must, however, fall under one of the seven recognized categories—people living on river islands, SC/ST households, tea and former tea garden tribes, PMAY (Gramin), forest residents, AAY, and most backward classes (MBC)—or be listed in the SECC 2011 list.

1. A 14.2 kg cylinder with a connection costs Rs. 1600, while a 5 kg cylinder costs Rs. 1150.
2. Along with their deposit-free connection, all PMUY grantees will also receive a free first LPG refill and a stove (hot plate).

Eligibility for Ujjwala Yojana

You must fulfill the following eligibility requirements in order to receive PMUY benefits:

• Be a citizen of India.
• The minimum age should be 18 years old.
• A woman without an LPG connection from a BPL home should be the candidate.
• No benefits should be received under other schemes of a similar nature.
• BPL homes under SC/ST households, PMAY (Gramin), AAY, Most Backward Classes (MBC), forest dwellers, residents of river islands, or members of Tea and Ex-Tea Garden Tribes shall be listed as beneficiaries of SECC 2011.
• She can assert her eligibility as a beneficiary under the Poor household category if she does not fit into either of the aforementioned categories by making a 14-point statement in the format specified.

Documents Required for Ujjwala Yojana

The following is a list of the documents that must be submitted:

• Valid photo identification
• Ration card from the state where the application is being submitted or another State government document attesting to the family structure or self-declaration in accordance with Annexure I (for migrant applicants)
• Proof of Address: If the connection is needed at the same address, Aadhaar will be used as both proof of identity and proof of address. Only Aadhaar is adequate in that scenario.
• IFSC and bank account number.
• Assam and Meghalaya do not require Aadhaar.
• A passport-sized photo

1. The requirements for the enrollment process are as follows:

• Proof of address,
• Aadhar card and ration card
• A passport-sized photo
• Bank Information

• 2. Use the official website to submit the application.
• 3. Choose an example of an oil firm name. HP Gas, Bharatgas, and Indane.
• 4. Choose a connection type, such as Ujjwala. 2.0
• 5. A New Relationship Select the distributor’s name, state, and district.
• 6. Enter your OTP, captcha, and mobile number.
• 7. Choose YES or NO for the migrant family status. Fill out Annexure 1 for the family identifier in NO.
• 8. Fill out the family identifier in Yes. Card of Rationing: Choose a category.
• 8. Complete all personal, family, address, and bank information.
• 9. Select the Types of Cylinders.
• 10. Choose between rural and urban, then click “Declaration” and “Submit.”
• 11. Visit the gas agency and create a reference number.
